In a galaxy far far away
There was a star, wandering heat
Mass of atoms of hydrogen-helium peeked
Through the gaps in the field
Of forces, roses of nebulae in need
Of creation able, cycle of destruction both,
Consciousness tied with the knot
Of primal energy, a soul, cosmic
Matter dissipated on a shore
In the black vast horizon, we bore
The system inherent in patterns
Mere reflections mirrored in the same waters.
A life-giving creed, and so we bleed
And so we bleed our most humane need
For peace, for joy, and lovely bliss
Hear my voice, follow my steps, fear not the risk
For the unknown, we reap what we sow
Even so, a question answer as a last blow
How would it feel, that lonely star
Apart from clusters, galaxies all
Floating in space, no cosmic body to embrace
No planets gravitating toward,
No binary system to hold?
