Who.?

She walked through the forest. It was a cold autumn day. Touched the frozen trunks, her dress caressing the fallen leaves, slowly crackling under her feet. As the chilling wind was gently whipping her face, a single tear falls down her cheek, only to be whipped away by the erratic dance of her hair.

She smiled and took a few more steps until the end of the cliff. The sea below shifted angrily its waves, hitting them on the dark solid rocks and black sand. Ebb and flow, ebb and flow... a rhythmic dance of the water soothing the weight of this world. High winds embracing her.

Hands lifted in the air, goose bumps.

"Jump, jump." " Breathe in, breathe out." " Close your eyes now. You can feel it within."

The sun, the leaves, the trees, and the sea. All the particles without, they are in your bones, your blood, your cells... nebulas in the eyes. She smiled... the shoes she was holding in her hand dropped on the hard ground. Stood with the back at a tree and she slowly collapsed, knees bent, head inclined on her shoulders. Searched the horizon and fixed the tying break of the sea with the sky. Cold blue... cold gray, her bones, as if disintegrating, disappearing, all her skin cold, she started shivering.

She heard the soft rustling of the leaves as a familiar figure slowly sat down next to her without saying a single word. He smiled at her as he laid his coat on her bare shoulders, then turned toward the edge of the cliff.

"If that's what you want to do, we're doing it together ... I told you I'll follow you wherever you decide to go... but when I said it I was hoping the ride would be a bit longer ..."

They'd been friends since for as long as they could both remember. She took her back from the tree she was leaning on and pushed it against his own. They both sat there for a few seconds, with the waves of the sea and the wind in the leaves, keeping them company, then he continued:

"You, know, you're gonna catch a cold.. you're like a baby, I always have to take care of you!"

She let out a sigh as her blue eyes met the clouds above them.
