it all started on a starless night
no light, so dark and cold, legs shaking
he was away, she was fervently waiting
to lean in for the first kiss, that fright.
rain pouring heavy, thunder was breaking
the silence around her, like the wrath
of a gentle man, a tingling feel snaking
just below the belt, coiling a war path.
she imagined then, how it would be
to be found again in his arms so thick, free
to feel his rough fingers lift up her chin.
lock her legs around his waist and begin
to withdraw words, moans and cries
on the musical rhythm of a singing satellite.
he made her feel safe again with her hands tied
smiling like a serpent, she dared him to get caught.
it felt like forever, two spirits in flesh
closer to nirvana, moving in slow motion
only to fast forward, her wounds still fresh
from that bittersweet pain,
only a second until that final explosion
now everything is slowed again,
two oceans interwoven.
