Heartbeats - 01.08.2018

Deep down he saw
Dark embers burn
Too slow to drive
Away the gore..

He felt the rain
Pour over, heavy
paved paths, lone lanes
his heartbeat steady.

he ran to her
cold grave again
to say goodbye
her heart's been drained.

too much to bear
lonesome she felt ...
she felt it all...
a blazing blade
Betrayal won,
And so did fate.

he sang to stars
now as he left.
His sadness grew,
A life bereft
From love and hope,
She died, he lived
But could not cope
With all the grief.

And thus he told
Their story bold,
An ode to sing
Each time the sky
Cried out a roar,
A ballad dyed
From her green eyes.
